In a Nutshell of Stress and Anxiety

Stress and anxiety are friends, but they’re not your friends.

There is no part of you that thrives in their presence.

Yet, there they loom.

When life doesn’t go as expected or when people around you behave poorly, resist getting testy.

Testy moments are defining moments because you choose your response. Your thoughts, words, and actions speak volumes about who you are.

When you have no power over a situation, you have no power. It doesn’t make sense to drive yourself nuts using a hammer to fix the nuttiness of everyday happenings.

Next time you’re stress-tested, (it only takes a moment) de-escalate in your mind first.

Simply keeping your mouth shut for a few extra seconds may work wonders for establishing or maintaining inner calm.

Eat nuts. Don’t go nuts.

One of the best lessons you can learn in life is to master how to remain calm.” ~ Bruce Lee
